Fountain Gate Grand Graduation Unites Three Schools in Historic Celebration
A graduation becomes unforgettable when it marks more than the end of a class year. On 3 October 2026, Fountain Gate Schools hosted a Grand Graduation Ceremony that brought three schools together for the first time in one large celebration at Fountain Gate Arena, Mlimwa C, Dodoma.
The event combined graduations from Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School, Fountain Gate Elite Pre and Primary School, and Fountain Gate Secondary School Dodoma. It honoured pre-unit learners, Grade 7 graduates, and Form 4 graduands in one colourful ceremony filled with confidence, talent, music, dance, and proud families.
The day stood out not only because of its size, but also because of its message. Fountain Gate celebrated academic progress while showing how talent, discipline, creativity, and partnership can shape learners at every stage.

Three schools came together for one milestone day
This was the first time Fountain Gate held a Grand Graduation combining three schools at once. The ceremony brought together different levels of learners, from the early years to secondary school, under one shared celebration.
The graduates included:
Pre-unit learners from Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School
Grade 7 graduates from Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School
Pre-unit learners from Fountain Gate Elite Pre and Primary School
Form 4 graduands from Fountain Gate Secondary School Dodoma
That mix gave the ceremony a special feeling. Families watched young children complete their pre-unit journey, primary school learners prepare for secondary education, and Form 4 students close an important chapter before moving to the next level.
It was a clear picture of the Fountain Gate education path. A child can begin in pre-unit, continue through primary school, grow into secondary school, and later move into high school within a familiar school community.
The venue, Fountain Gate Arena at Mlimwa C, gave the event enough space for the large turnout. Parents, school leaders, invited guests, headteachers, heads of departments, teachers, and students all gathered to witness a ceremony larger than any previous graduation held by the school community.
The occasion also carried a strong sense of unity. Although the schools have different classes and age groups, the graduation showed one shared identity, one system of values, and one vision for learners.
Special guests added honour to the occasion
The guest of honour was Mr Andrew Mheziwa, Zonal Business Manager of CRDB Bank Plc. He attended on behalf of Dr Abdulmajid M. Nsekela, the Group CEO and Managing Director of CRDB Bank Plc, who was engaged in a contract signing in Dar es Salaam.
Mr Mheziwa was warmly received by Mr Japhet Makau, Fountain Gate President and Director, together with Mr Joseph Mjingo, Principal of Fountain Gate Schools. Also present were Mr Omar Kilwanda, Fountain Gate Advocate, headteachers from different Fountain Gate Schools, and heads of departments.
The ceremony was also attended by invited guests, including Mr Joseph Mgahama, CRDB Bank Plc Branch Manager for Dodoma Region, a chief lecturer from the University of Dodoma, and other education and community stakeholders.
Their presence gave the day added weight. It showed that the event was not only a school celebration, but also a moment of connection between education, families, financial institutions, and the wider Dodoma community.
For learners, seeing leaders from different sectors in attendance was meaningful. It reminded them that education opens doors beyond the classroom. It connects them to future opportunities in leadership, entrepreneurship, sports, arts, science, and service.

Graduands dressed with color, pride, and class
One of the most memorable parts of the Grand Graduation was the appearance of the graduands. Each group had its own colour and style, giving the event a bright and organised look.
The pre-unit graduands from Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School wore distinct colours. Girls wore pink suits, while boys wore navy blue suits. Their look captured the joy of early childhood graduation and made them stand out beautifully as they marked their first major school milestone.
The Grade 7 graduates from Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School wore white suits. The white brought a clean, confident appearance that matched the significance of completing primary school and preparing for the next stage.
The pre-unit graduands from Fountain Gate Elite Pre and Primary School wore cyan blue suits. The colour gave their group a bright and cheerful appearance, fitting the excitement of learners completing their pre-primary journey.

The Form 4 graduands from Fountain Gate Secondary School Dodoma wore a striking combination. Their trousers were mustard yellow or golden yellow, paired with dark brown or coffee brown blazers featuring thin beige or cream vertical stripes. The choice gave them a mature and stylish look, suitable for students preparing to move into the next step of their education.
The different colours helped families easily identify each group. More than that, they showed careful planning. A well-arranged graduation reflects respect for the learners and the importance of the day.
The joy was visible. Parents took pride in seeing their children walk, perform, and receive recognition. Teachers saw the result of years of guidance. The learners stood tall, many of them showing a high level of confidence before a large audience.

Performances showed talent beyond the classroom
The Fountain Gate Grand Graduation Unites Three Schools in Historic Celebration was more than a certificate ceremony. It became a full display of student talent.
Learners entertained guests through:
Modern dances
Traditional dances
Songs
Poems
Acrobatics
Scouting displays
Comedies
Acting
Fashion show presentations
Each performance added something different to the day. The dances brought energy. The songs created emotion. The poems gave learners a chance to speak with confidence. Acrobatics showed discipline, courage, and physical skill. Scouting displays reflected teamwork and order. Comedy and acting gave the audience light moments and showed creativity. The fashion show added style and stage confidence.
Parents responded with happiness because they saw children expressing themselves freely. A school event becomes powerful when learners are not afraid to stand before people, speak, dance, act, sing, and show what they can do.
That confidence does not come by accident. It grows when a school gives learners space to practise, make mistakes, improve, and perform. Fountain Gate’s approach to talent development was clear throughout the event.
Mr Japhet Makau spoke strongly about talent development. He recognized young performers and group leaders, including Sheila and the young performer praised as “our local Zuchu”. Their mention showed that Fountain Gate sees talent as part of education, not as something separate from it.
The Director also spoke about keeping Fountain Gate ahead through new ideas, student development, and opportunities that help learners grow in academics and talent. His message matched what the audience had already seen on stage. The learners were not only graduating. They were demonstrating courage, creativity, and leadership.
The guest of honor praised talent, play, and partnership
In his speech, Mr Andrew Mheziwa spoke about CRDB Bank Plc services, cooperation with Fountain Gate Schools, and the importance of nurturing learners in a school environment that allows children to enjoy learning.
He recognised Fountain Gate’s commitment to talent development and praised the way the school gives children room to participate in games and creative activities. His message was clear. Children learn well when school life balances academics, discipline, play, and talent.
He also encouraged parents to keep their children within the Fountain Gate education path. He pleaded with parents of pre-unit learners to allow them to join Grade 1 at Fountain Gate the following year. He encouraged Grade 7 graduates to join Form 1 at Fountain Gate, and Form 4 graduands to continue to Fountain High School.
That appeal connected directly with the day’s structure. Since the graduation brought different education levels together, parents could see the journey from early childhood to secondary education in one place.
Mr Mheziwa also spoke about the CRDB Supercup, saying it could help scout Fountain Gate players and create sports opportunities. For a school that already invests in talent and games, such a connection could encourage learners who show promise in football and other activities.
He also mentioned the possibility of CRDB Bank school fee loans for parents, subject to the bank’s procedures and requirements. This part of the speech mattered because school planning is a real concern for many families. When financial institutions work closely with schools, parents can receive timely information and explore available options directly with the bank.
Another highlight was his interest in working with Fountain Gate dance groups. He said he would like to take groups such as Dynamos and Fountain Gate Stars to CRDB events for dance exhibitions. For students, that kind of exposure can be a big encouragement. It shows them that talent developed at school can be recognised outside school as well.
Certificates marked the close of a successful ceremony
The ceremony ended with the official handing out of certificates to the graduands. Mr Andrew Mheziwa, Mr Japhet Makau, school managers, and Principal Joseph Mjingo took part in presenting certificates.
This was the formal moment every graduand had waited for. After the performances, speeches, applause, and celebration, the certificate became a symbol of completion and progress.
For pre-unit learners, it marked readiness for Grade 1. For Grade 7 graduates, it marked the end of primary school and preparation for Form 1. For Form 4 graduands, it marked the completion of an important secondary school stage and preparation for high school and future opportunities.
The presence of school leaders during the certificate presentation showed respect for each learner’s journey. It also gave parents a strong final memory of the day, seeing their children honoured in front of the whole Fountain Gate community.

A new standard for Fountain Gate graduations
The 3 October 2026 Grand Graduation set a new standard for Fountain Gate Schools. It showed that a graduation can be academic, artistic, communal, and forward-looking all at once.
The event brought together learners from three schools, honoured several education levels, welcomed respected guests, and gave students a platform to perform with excellence. It also strengthened the message that education should develop the whole child.
The day will be remembered for its colour, its performances, its confident graduands, and the pride of parents who watched their children shine. It will also be remembered as the first Grand Graduation where Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School, Fountain Gate Elite Pre and Primary School, and Fountain Gate Secondary School Dodoma celebrated together.
The greatest takeaway was simple and powerful. When schools support both learning and talent, students grow with confidence. When parents, teachers, leaders, and partners come together, graduations become more than ceremonies. They become a promise that the next stage can be even better.
