Celebrating Culture and Unity at CIGOGO FESTIVAL 2025 in Dodoma

The CIGOGO FESTIVAL 2025 was a vibrant celebration of Dodoma's rich cultural heritage, held on July 26 in the heart of Chamwino District. This lively festival showcased the exquisite traditional arts and crafts of the Kigogo community while also drawing people from various backgrounds to celebrate unity and diversity. One of the festival’s highlights was the enthusiastic participation of students from Fountain Dodoma Pre and Primary School, guided by their dedicated manager, Mr. Fred Tchalewa Ndeki. This level of vibrant participation attracted the attention of dignitaries, including Mr. Kedmon Mapana, the Executive Secretary of the National Arts Council (Basata). With a visitor turnout estimated at over 5,000, the festival clearly demonstrated the community's commitment to celebrating its heritage.
