An unforgeable Outing Day at Fountain Gate Secondary and High School.

On Friday, 8th August 2025, the students of Fountain Gate Dodoma Secondary and High School embarked on a day filled with excitement, laughter, and exploration.

This year’s much-anticipated outing day was the perfect opportunity for our learners to step away from books and classrooms, and instead, immerse themselves in refreshing adventures around Dodoma. From splashing in swimming pools to touring some of the city’s remarkable landmarks, the day was nothing short of memorable.

The adventure began at Markdon Hotel Dodoma, where the warm sunshine and sparkling blue waters welcomed everyone. Students wasted no time diving into the swimming pool, enjoying spirited games, and relishing the joy of being together outside school grounds. The air was filled with the sounds of splashing water, cheerful conversations, and bursts of laughter—pure proof that relaxation and fun were in full swing. Delicious food and drinks added extra flavour to the day, recharging everyone’s energy for what lay ahead.

After hours of play and refreshment, the journey continued to the heart of Dodoma’s modern pride—Magufuli City. Here, students marveled at the vibrant developments, wide streets, and impressive architectural designs. Walking through the city offered not only a scenic experience but also an inspiring glimpse into the progress and potential of Tanzania’s capital. Cameras clicked, selfies were taken, and memories were captured to be cherished for years to come.

The final stop was the iconic University of Dodoma (UDOM). Its vast and picturesque campus sparked curiosity and dreams among the students. Many were left inspired, imagining themselves walking these halls in the future as university students. The visit was more than just sightseeing—it was a moment of motivation, reminding everyone that education opens the door to endless possibilities.

As the sun began to set, the buses rolled back to school with tired but glowing faces. The outing day had been a perfect blend of fun, friendship, and inspiration. From swimming and games at Markdon Hotel to exploring Magufuli City and the University of Dodoma, the students had not just relaxed—they had connected, discovered, and dreamed. Truly, 8th August 2025 will remain a shining highlight in the school’s history of unforgettable adventures.
